HLTAID007 Provide Advanced Resuscitation (PAR)




Did you know that every workplace has a legal responsibility for ensuring adequate first aid provisions?  According to the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC), sudden cardiac arrest is the leading cause of death for adults in Australia.  While millions of people have been trained to perform CPR, most Australians do not know how to perform the technique correctly.  CPR provided immediately after cardiac arrest can double or triple the chance that a person will survive.

This Course will assist you to develop your knowledge and skills in: providing  cardio pulmonary resuscitation l  first aid resuscitation techniques, life support, and management of casualty(s), until the arrival of medical or other assistance, and provision of support to other providers.


Carrying out two rescuer procedure, as both ventilator and compressor l Selecting and inserting an oropharyngeal(OP) airway l Preparing resuscitation equipment ready for use  l  Applying bag an mask resuscitation technique  l  Attaching and operating and AED  l  Administering oxygen  l  Operating suction equipment  l  Restoring and maintaining equipment ready for future use.

Course Pre-requisite

There is no pre-requisite for HLTAID007 Provide Advanced Resuscitation.

Sound English - spoken and written.

What will I receive upon completion? 

You will receive a Nationally Accredited Statement of Attainment and Course Results.  You will be qualified to perform CPR and hold currency for 12 months, according to the Australian Resuscitation Council Guidelines.
